Unveiled at GITEX (Gulf Information Technology Exhibition) Tech Week in Dubai early this month, the BlackBerry Motion is a smartphone with no keyboard unlike similar phones from the successful brand. The BlackBerry Motion has a full high definition display, Android 7.1 Nougat operation system, 5.5 inches full HD screen resolution and fingerprint sensor. There’s 32 GB of storage, a 12-megapixel camera on the back and an 8-megapixel selfie cam. The BlackBerry Motion is only available in black.
Launched by the Chinese tech company, TCL Corporation, the battery life of the BB Motion can handle 30 hours of use. The smartphone has space for two SIM cards and is dust and water resistant and sports an anti-scratch display. The BlackBerry Motion has a personal locker, where you can store documents and photos, and an internal storage area that requires a PIN code or fingerprint to access.
The BlackBerry smartphone with the touchscreen is only available for sale in the Middle Eastern market (UAE and Saudi Arabia) and with a price equivalent to $460. It will launch in the United Kingdom at the end of this year, but there’s no mention of when it’s coming to the United States or Canada.
BB Motion will have to compete against Google’s new smartphone, Pixel 2, the Galaxy Note from Samsung and Apple’s iPhone 8.
